In 1936, von Horvath’s Figaro Gets a Divorce, was conceived as a modern sequel to Beaumarchais' 1784 classic The Marriage of Figaro. In presenting the two in tandem, adapter Eric Overmyer has created an independent single piece that shimmers with inspiration.
