The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

by Jess Borgenson, Adam Long & Daniel Singer
From Attic Theatre

Director - Dennis O'Donnell
Where - Kimberly-Clark Theater, Fox Cities Performing Arts Center

Performance dates: June 10 through June 19, 2004

Setting: A theatre. Characters: three men who play Shakespeare’s finest characters in one of the wackiest nights at the theatre an audience member could spend. Witty, humorous and fast-paced. It is a saucy start to the summer season of which Shakespeare, a master of comedy himself, would most certainly approve.

Audition info - April 17 & 18 from 1-4 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, Appleton for Proof, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abr., & There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom. Attic practices color-blind casting. Format: Cold readings from the script. Good comic timing, sense of ensemble, and improvisation skills needed. A very physical show, including sword fighting, tumbling, and lots of running; rehearsals and performances will be strenuous workouts. Minimum audition age 18. Each show auditions in a separate room, so allow time to audition for more than one director; wait varies. Prepare to list evening & weekend potential rehearsal conflicts. Scripts available for 3-day check out at the Appleton Public Library.
