I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is a clever collection of comedy sketches about modern romance, interspersed with catchy tunes with titles like Single Man Drought, A Stud and a Babe and Tear Jerk. The title says it all! With a fabulous score that will have you humming and chuckling, this delightful musical is a bright, witty and refreshing look at what we have all felt about boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, parents, children, in-laws and grandparents but were too afraid to admit!

The cast features L. Douglas Pire, Appleton, Kevin Flogel and Sallie Harrigan, DePere, Jessica Heller and Adam Wills, Green Bay, and Natalie Kotz, Sturgeon Bay. The ensemble portrays over 60 characters who all have hilarious takes on male/female relationships. Thom Yarnal is Director/Choreographer and Joel Gotz is Musical Director. Willie Sabel is Production Designer, with costumes by Darrell George Wagner and Travis Smith. Kristin Masarik is stage-managing.

I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is New York’s longest-running musical review of all time. In addition to the original production, there are currently long running productions in Boston, L.A., Chicago and Toronto plus a North American tour. GBCT is proud to be presenting the American community theater premiere. The show has become the most proposal-friendly show in America. Since its premiere in 1996, forty-one young men have taken the stage to make surprise proposals to their sweethearts. In all cases, the brides-to-be happily accepted as the audience roared with approval.

During the run of the play, an art exhibit titled, “Assemblages in Fabric and Wood” by visual artist Mike Cepress will grace the Community Room as part of the Northeastern Wisconsin Arts Council’s Phantom Art Gallery project. A separate opening reception for the exhibit will be held September 14, 2003 at 2:00 PM.
