World Premiere. This comedy tells the story of a gay gender studies professor form California who infiltrates a small town women’s craft group to gather research on rural women in the Midwest. When the women of the group try to fix him up with the youngest member of their group, the results are comically disastrours. THE BENEVOLENT WOMEN’S CRAFT SOCIETY just won a national playwrighting competition sponsored by the Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown, PA. GBCT will be presenting the world premiere production and those cast will be listed in the script when it is published. Audition info - Sat/Sun May 17 & 18, 1-4pm at the Robert Lee Brault Playhouse. There are roles for four women and one man. The women range in age from early 20’s to mid 70’s. The man is in his 30’s. The audition will consist of readings from the script. No experience is necessary. Five actors made their stage debuts at GBCT during the past season. The information presented on this page is not official.
