A sentimental comedy about six women who come together for gossip and hairdos at Truvy's Beauty Salon in a small town in Louisiana. Hysterical and tender, alternately side-splitting and touching, this tribute to friendship is one of the most popular comedies of the last decade.

Audition info: Auditions for Steel Magnolias (and Pump Boys and Dinettes) will be held March 24 from 4-6:30 pm, March 25 from 6-8:30 pm at All Saints' Episcopal Church on the corner of College and Drew, Appleton. Roles for adults; 4 men and 7 women. Prepare to read from the script. Please enter the door located on Drew St. A registration and information table will be set up by the door. This is an open call; all persons are welcome. No prior registration is necessary. Come to audition either day between the times listed. Some waiting may be necessary. Scripts are available at the Appleton and Neenah Public Libraries Circulation Desks. It is recommended that you read the scripts prior to auditions.
