Carol, a student, comes to John, her professor, one afternoon seeking help in his class for which she was doing poorly in. The two converse, make opinions of each other, catch glimpses into the other’s private life, and then the meeting ends; but soon the details of the meeting are under the closest scrutiny. This play shows the confusion and possible miscommunication between the sexes and how two people’s entire lives can hang on an interpretation of the truth.
