Theatrix is the first Wisconsin organization to stage "Les Miserables." This production will be entirely produced and staged by young people ages 13-18.

An international smash, "Les Miserables" may be the most popular musical in the world. Still running on Broadway, "Les Miz" is set in 19th-century France and centers on the character of Jean Valjean. After Valjean's release from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways.

Epic, grand and uplifting, "Les Miserables" packs an emotional wallop that has thrilled audiences all over the world. Songs include "I Dreamed a Dream," "Castle on a Cloud,"Master of the House," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home" and "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables."
