The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)by Jess Borgenson, Adam Long & Daniel Singer Green Bay Community Theater
Where - Robert Lee Brault Playhouse, 122 N. Chestnut Ave., Green Bay Performance dates: April 19 through May 5, 2002
It's an incongruous mix: William Shakespeare, 37 of the greatest comedies and tragedies ever written for the theater and three enterprising young men. Never has the Bard been interpreted in this manner: Othello as a rap song; Titus Andronicus as a cooking show; the History plays done as a football game; and all of the comedies combined into one rollicking presentation. Throw in Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet into the mix and be prepared for an evening of Shakespeare as you have never imagined! All the roles are portrayed by three male actors, including Juliet and Ophelia, using a minimal set and a crazy arsenal of props and costumes.
Audition info: Feb. 25-26, 2002 7 p.m at the Playhouse. Neither membership in Green Bay Community Theater nor previous stage experience is a prerequisite to being cast in a play. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the webmaster. | ||||||||||||||||
