Trifles
written by Susan Glaspell
Trifles, first produced in 1916, is a murder mystery revolving around the death of a farmer and the principal suspect, his wife. In the process of attempting to solve the mystery the play explores the gender differences, observations and expectations between men and women and how they can have disastrous effects.
Formaldehyde
Written and Directed by Richard Kalinoski
Formaldehyde, written by Richard Kalinoski, illustrates the conflicting relationships between members of a middle- class dysfunctional family. These dynamics reach a climax at the dinner table, a battleground for the family's hostilities causing results reflected in many contemporary homes today.
